The Edit Scheduled Voyages feature allows Transport Coordinators to make changes to voyages that have already been scheduled but have not yet started. This includes adjusting requests, swapping vehicles, modifying route sequences, and making timing corrections.
The editing experience is very similar to manual scheduling — the only difference is that the selected vehicle and requests are pre-filled, allowing the coordinator to simply update what’s needed without rebuilding the voyage from scratch.
However, editing behavior may vary depending on how the voyage was originally scheduled (Manually, Route Optimized, or Load Optimized), and there are a few key limitations to be aware of.

When you click “Edit” on a scheduled voyage, the system opens the Manual Scheduling interface.
All current voyage details will be:
Pre-filled (vehicle, requests, route)
Fully editable (as long as the voyage has not started)
You can:
Add or remove trip or delivery requests
Change or reassign the vehicle
Reorder the pickup/drop sequence
Update timing and route paths
Essentially, editing works like re-creating the voyage manually—but saves time by preserving current voyage data.

Route Optimized Voyages
When you edit a route-optimized voyage, the original optimized route will no longer apply.
The voyage becomes a manually edited voyage, and any route sequencing will need to be reviewed manually.
The system does not re-run route optimization logic during edits.
Load Optimized Voyages
Load Optimized Voyages cannot be edited directly.
These voyages are created based on load efficiency (weight, volume, etc.).
Manual edits would break the integrity of the optimized load plan.
If changes are required:
Delete the voyage, and
Use the Load Optimized Scheduling flow again with updated selections

📌Important Notes:
Editing is only possible if the voyage has not been started by the driver
If a new vehicle is selected, the system will re-validate:
Vehicle availability
Capacity (for either passenger seats or package load)
Optimization is not preserved when editing route-optimized voyages.
Load Optimized Voyages must be deleted and recreated — direct editing is not supported.
If changes are made and saved, relevant notifications will be re-sent to the employees or package senders.
