How to Abandon a Voyage

• The vehicle experiences a breakdown during the trip 

• The driver is unable to continue the route for any valid reason 

• The voyage must be ended before all pickups and drops are completed 

• While the voyage is ongoing, the driver taps the “Abandon Voyage” button available at the top right of the screen. 

• The app will prompt the driver to enter a reason for abandoning the voyage. 

• The driver must also: 

  • Enter the current odometer reading 

  • Upload a clear photo of the odometer 

• If enabled by the company, the driver may also enter: 

  • Parking Fee or Highway Fee

• The driver taps Submit, which sends the abandon request to the Transport Coordinator for approval. 

• After submission, the driver is taken to a page that confirms the abandon request has been sent. 

• This screen shows: 

  • Voyage ID 

  • Distance travelled 

  • Number of requests completed 

  • Abandon location and time 

  • Reason submitted 

• A “Refresh” option is available to check for coordinator response. 

• As long as the coordinator has not yet responded, the driver can tap Cancel Request to resume the voyage. 

After Submission:

• The Transport Coordinator receives a real-time notification and will either: 

  • Approve the abandon request, marking the voyage as Abandoned 

  • Decline the request, in which case the driver is expected to resume the voyage 

• If the request is approved, the coordinator will transfer or reject any remaining requests via the Transfer Abandoned Voyage workflow on the web app.
