The Add Vehicle feature in Transpomate allows admins to add and manage vehicle's within the system.
The Admin can navigate to this page by clicking on the Add option from the View Vehicles table.
📌 Note:Â
Ensure Proper Time Slots and Rates:
The availability of a vehicle (e.g., available on Monday) determines whether it appears in the scheduling pages. Incorrect configurations may prevent vehicles from being assigned to voyages.
Rates define charges per km. If no specific rate is set for a voyage’s defined time, the system will apply the default rate. Otherwise, the rate defined for that time will be used.
Starting and Ending Locations:
These serve as the default locations for a voyage when a vehicle is selected.
However, the transport coordinator can modify these locations if needed.
Service Mode Labels:
What It Means:Â
Service Modes define the type of service a vehicle is configured to support — Passenger Transport, Enclosed Delivery, or Non-Enclosed Delivery. This helps the system determine how the vehicle can be used when scheduling voyages.Â
How It Works:
You must select at least one service mode to proceed.Â
Selecting a mode shows only the fields relevant to that mode.Â
Only required fields under that mode will need to be filled.Â
Deselecting a mode hides those fields and removes their validations.Â
The same behavior applies when adding or editing a vehicle.Â
NOTE: You can select multiple modes if needed. This allows the vehicle to be flexibly scheduled for both transport and delivery operations, depending on your organization’s setup.
GPS Devices:
What It Means:Â
GPS devices are used for real-time tracking of vehicles. A device can only be assigned to one active vehicle at a time.
How It Works:
The GPS device dropdown will show:Â
Devices not currently in use.
Devices assigned to disabled vehicles (not in any ongoing or scheduled voyages).Â
If you select a device attached to a disabled vehicle:Â
A confirmation pop-up will appear before saving, asking if you're sure you want to reuse it.Â
What Happens When You Confirm:Â
The GPS device will be unassigned from the old (disabled) vehicle.Â
It will be assigned to the current vehicle.Â
The GPS information will be removed from the old vehicle's record and won't appear in its details.Â
Assign the correct vehicle owner from the list to avoid mismanagement.Â
Ensure the license plate number is accurate for easy identification and tracking.Â
If applicable, ensure labels (Passenger Transport, Enclosed Deliveries, Non-Enclosed Deliveries) are correctly assigned per company settings.Â
Ensure availability times are correctly entered, including:
Available Days (Select the correct days)
Time-From & Time-To (Set precise start and end times)
Cost per Km (Ensure it reflects actual operational costs)
