The Edit GPS Device feature in Transpomate allows admins to update gps device details while ensuring data integrity. Admins can modify the device's basic information and also the status of the device.
The Admin can navigate to this page by clicking on the Edit option from the View GPS Devices table.

If a GPS device is assigned to any vehicle (active or disabled), the following rules apply:
All fields on the Edit GPS Device page will be disabled.
A clear warning message will be displayed at the top of the page:
⚠️ This GPS device is currently assigned to vehicle (ABC-1234) and cannot be edited. To make changes, first unassign the device from the vehicle.
The user can still view the device details but cannot make changes until the device is detached.

Once the GPS device is unassigned from the vehicle:
All fields become editable.
The user can update:
Device ID
Device Type
Device Mode (Fixed / Portable)

Ensure the device is not linked to any vehicle before attempting edits.
Avoid duplication when updating the Device ID.
Changing the mode affects how the mobile app interacts with the device.
