The Add GPS Device feature in Transpomate allows admins to add and manage gps devices and their associated vehicle's within the system.
The Admin can navigate to this page by clicking on the Add option from the View GPS Devices table.

Choosing the appropriate Device Mode is essential for ensuring accurate tracking and a smooth user experience.
Why it Matters:
Accurate Voyage Tracking: Devices capture real-time location and distance, eliminating manual odometer entries.
Mobile App Integration:
Fixed Devices: Automatically linked to vehicles; no driver input needed.
Portable Devices: Require QR code scanning via the mobile app to verify usage
Avoid Manual Errors: Ensures drivers are either prompted for QR verification or odometer readingsānever both unnecessarily.
Operational Efficiency: Proper configuration reduces manual steps, improves data reliability, and streamlines voyage workflows.
ā ļø Always ensure the correct mode is selected during device setup to avoid tracking issues and ensure seamless mobile app functionality.
Ensure the device is listed among supported types and compatible with Wialon.
Avoid duplication by assigning a unique alphanumeric ID to each device.
Choose Fixed for permanently installed devices and Portable for mobile units used across vehicles.
